New Vatican Instruction

The Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith has completed its instruction, Dignitas Personae, answering many questions raised by artificial reproductive technologies since Donum Vitae was issued in 1987.

The new document is entitled Dignitas Personae - the dignity of the person - which must be recognized in every human being from conception to natural death. This fundamental principle must be at the center of ethical biomedical research.

Ironman Triathlete Supports Rachel's Vineyard
RACHEL'S VINEYARD IRONMAN UPDATE

Ironman, Sandra Izzo
Sandra Izzo would like to thank all those who donated to Rachel's Vineyard through the Janus Charity Challenge and supported her during the July 25th Lake Placid Ironman. Sandy completed the event (placing
7th in her age group) certainly due to the many prayers offered for this intention.
With a $750 bonus received from Janus Investment Firm for being in the top 20 fundraisers, the total amount raised to date for our diocesan Rachel's Vineyard is $7,098.65!  In addition and just as important is how far and wide in our diocese the message of Rachel's Vineyard reached the souls of those in need and brought awareness to this after-abortion healing outreach.  Special thanks to the pastors who welcomed Sandy to make an announcement at their parish. The next Rachel's Vineyard retreat in our Diocese will be held October 8, 9 & 10. For more information, speak to your pastor, contact the Respect Life office or check out the registraiton form on this page.

"I can't even begin to tell you the immensity and depth of the transformation of my relationship with Jesus and His Beautiful Holy Mother since the Rachel's Vineyard
Retreat a year ago. Finally, I was freed by the Holy Spirit to receive the boundlessly generous forgiveness and mercy of Jesus, our Savior and King. I am so grateful for the retreat and for the long awaited peace in my heart."
