Seminary: Pontifical College Josephinum
Favorite Prayer: “O blood and water, which gushed forth from the Heart of Jesus as a fountain of Mercy for us, I trust in You!”
Hobbies: Running, skiing, history, art, and lots and lots of music
Favorite Quote: “How can a young man keep his way pure? By guarding it according to your word. With my whole heart I seek you; let me not wander from your commandments! I have laid up your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you...Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” (Psalm 119: 9-11, 105)
If a young man came up to you and asked about a possible vocation to the priesthood or religious life, what advice would you give him? Having conversations with God constantly throughout the day has been the most valuable aspect of my own discernment. You are called to enter into an intimate relationship with our Lord, but you have to get to know Him first. Get to know Jesus by hanging out with Him and being in His presence. Spend an hour with Jesus in the Eucharist every day and become friends with him, talk to Him, and tell Him every worry and joy you have. He loves you compassionately and wants to spend time with you too, so become best friends with Our Lord. As a young man, you have an inexhaustible depth of knowledge and experience that has come before you in the Catholic Church, so open those doors to Christ and get to know His friends in the Church. People around the world are praying for you, and the saints are praying for you too! So, adopt Mary as your mother and St. Therese as your girlfriend and enter into the supernatural life of sanctity! Finally, you're the man, and I'm praying for you too! |
